Raines and Lee kicked off as our game of the night, and the Vikings and Generals did not disappoint at first. Raines began the scoring as #1 Bishop Bonnett returned a punt for the games first score. But Lee would answer as RB Tony Belle took a kick return 60 yds to make for some exciting action off McDuff. But Raines would settle down and settle in.

The Vikings defense stuffed the running game and kept the pressure on Lee’s offense to match them in points. That’s not the General’s game, as they like to slow the game down with their running attack and capitalize on big plays. Tonight however, the big plays came from the Vikings. Al Rutledge scored on a 70 yd touchdown run, and WR Willie Wright joined the scoring with a 30 yd touchdown catch from QB Augie Debiase.

Raines starts the season looking like one of the best teams in the city and that’s exactly where we have them ranked in our pre-season power rankings . They’ll look to  show North Miami next week, that they’re one of the best team on I-95. Lee looks to bounce back versus Westside, who lost to Oakleaf tonight.
