Many thought it would be a close game and it was. Many thought it would be high scoring affair and it wasn’t. One thing is for sure after this game, no one left disappointed. The Raines Vikings defeated the Ed White Commanders 13-7 Friday night in front of a packed house on the west side.
Ed White went ahead 7-0 on a 79yd TD run in the 2nd quarter by Taylor Thomas. On the very next possession, Raines responded led by the arm of QB Jevaro Hardy, who completed a pass deep down the sideline to Ronald Patterson. Hardy would use his legs from the one yard line to punch it in.
The game was a defensive battle throughout, led by both team’s stout lines and versatile LBs but in the end it was the Raines Vikings getting the win.
