Oceanway Blue Bucs win big over Arlington

Christian Ellis lead the Bucs in rushing and scored two touchdowns as the Junior Pee Wee Oceanway Buccaneers improved to 2-0 on the season. The Bucs scored just minutes into the game after an Ellis 50 yard run to get them into the redzone. Quarterback Reshawn Latimer scrambled down the left sideline and into the endzone to put the Bucs up 7-0 after the successful conversion.

But Arlington would respond, as the ensuing kickoff was taken 75 yards for the touchdown on a spectacular burst up the middle by the Seminole kick returner #2.

The Bucs would answer on a three play drive culminating with a 30 yard touchdown run by Ellis to go up 14-6. Ellis was also a mainstay on defense as he led the team in tackles. But the defensive line played a pivitol role in stopping Arlington’s speedsters. #90 DT Nate Williams, and #54 DE McGregor applied pressure all afternoon frustrating the Seminole offense.

With the defense clicking, RB Maxwell Robinson got into the scoring act with two touchdown runs to put the game out of reach. The icing on the cake came from #32 Sedrick Price Jr who topped off the impressive defensive performance with an interception sealing the second straight shut out by the defensive unit and securing the victory.
