Middle School Football Power Rankings & Previews Wk #5

Check out the power rankings for Middle School Football going into week five!

  1. Matthew Gilbert (3-0)– Gilbert didn’t spend their bye week relaxing, instead, they spent their bye week scouting the competition. Highlands is on their radar.
  2. Fletcher- (4-0) – I’ve spoken to several middle school insiders around the city. They all agree.. Fletcher is the best team they’ve seen in a long time.
  3. Highlands(3-0)- .They started slow but finished fast against Northwestern. They can’t afford to do that against Oceanway this week.
  4.  Landmark( 4-0)- The Seahawks are on a roll and deserve to move up in this week’s poll. Mayport is their long time rival and they dominated them. They’ll have a tune up contest with Ft. Caroline this week.
  5. Oceanway (3-1) – Oceanway fell one spot , but it wasn’t due to anything that they did or didn’t do. This week they have a chance to shake up the North Standings by beating Highlands.
  6. Twin Lakes( 3-1)-  Twin Lakes gets a bye week to prepare for the push. Last year they faltered down the stretch. This year they look to remain on top of their regioin.
  7. .Mandarin- (2-2) – Mandarin bounced back nicely versus Dupont. This week: Bye
  8.  Lake Shore( 3-1)-  Great win against Jeb Stuart they take on James Weldon this week.
  9. Landon(2-2)- Landon looked very impressive agaisnt a scrappy Southside team. This team has great size. Maybe they’ve put the early mistakes behind them.
  10. Stillwell (2-2)- Stilwell has been winning but not convincingly. They dropped to #10 after a hard fought win over James Weldon. This week they have a prove it game against Jeff Davis.
