SMG and JaxSports announced the arrival of the Blue-Grey All-American Bowl on Thursday. It will be played on Jan. 16, 2016 with rosters of composed of players from across the country, including five from local schools.
“Why Jacksonville? I fell in love with Jacksonville years ago. It was someplace that I wanted to bring the game to,” said Gus Bell, one of the founders of the Blue-Grey circuit. “I think Jacksonville needs a game of this caliber, high school-wise.”
The Blue-Grey series has three formats, all of which will be played out at NFL stadiums.
The first (East-West) will be played Dec. 20 at the Dallas Cowboys AT&T Stadium. The North-South game is Jan. 9, 2016 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, followed by the Blue-Grey at EverBank.
