The Junior Pee Wee Forestview Steelers scored twice in the second half of their division one semifinal contest to defeat Quakertown 14-0, advancing to the Pop Warner Super Bowl! Forestview and Quakertown played a scoreless game in the first half which came as a surprise to many. Forestview dominated their first round opponent and Quakertown struggled in their first round. But Quakertown is tough and motivated by their coaches and it showed early on in the contest. Forestview seemed like the 8:30am start might’ve thrown the team off and it took two quarters for the team to wake up.
They received the jolt by on of their team captains and hardest workers on the team Nicholas Bell. Bell who was injured at the start of the season, rehabbed hard and finally got his shot to play and make an impact. He scored on a power run off the left tackle to put Forest View up 8-0. QB Chris Calhoun would also score in the contest on a quarterback sneak to put them up 14-0, and on the wya to the Super Bowl!
Congratulations to the Forestview Steelers and Good Luck Saturday as they face the Virginia Beach Mustangs for the title!
