Ribault On Another Level: Will Defend Their Gateway Championship

Paxon High School- Terry Parker is having one of their best seasons in recent memory. Led by Tautyana Mosley and Tykkia Early, their combination of speed, agility and tenacity has allowed them to enjoy success this season.IMG_0902 (800x533) But on Thursday in the Gateway Conference Semifinal they would face an entire team in Ribault, that could match all of those attributes and more. The more being a significant height and length advantage that would frustrate the talented guards from Parker. The Trojan relentless defense absolutely suffocated the Braves, jumping out to a quick 25-13 lead in the first quarter. By halftime the score had ballooned to 18 points, and Ribault was just getting started. They are able to impose their will against opponents and force them into mental submission. Parker, known for their scrapping and hustle was seen pulling up on some plays in the second half, unable to keep pace with the scoring barrage from Ribault.  Ribault’s Rennia Davis scored 24 points, and DeyNeshia  ” Dey Dey” Banks added 20 points to propel the Lady Trojans to the 75-33 victory.

Ribault will play Paxon in a rematch of the 2015 Gateway Conference finals Friday.
