Bolles High School- Jonathan Dewane scored 19 points, and Collin Smith added 17 points as the Bolles Bulldogs defeated the Bishop Kenny 64-53 in front of an enthusiastic crowd mixed with Crusaders and Bulldogs. Bolles and Kenny went back and forth trading baskets in the beginning of the game. Bolles would lean on Dewane who led them at halftime with 13 points. Bishop Kenny was led by #1 Christian Carlyle who had 10 points at the half. He would finish with 19 points as well. Carlyle slashed to the basket hard but finished shots with soft floaters. Dewane would convert offensive rebound layups, and hit shots from mid range. These two performances would have both teams playing at high levels, but Bolles would lead 36-27.

In the second half Bolles took advantage of their decisive height advantage as Collin Smith controlled the paint. He contested shots, grabbed offensive and defensive rebounds, and finished plays with emphatic dunks. Smith’s play would ignite the already raucous  crowd, propelling Bolles to an 11 point lead going into the fourth period.

In the fourth, Smith would get into foul trouble and be forced to sit on the bench. Without the big man in the middle, Kenny would drive to the basket uncontested and convert layups. When Bolles rotated to prevent the penetration, Kenny would swing the ball to the open man to knock down shots. They would pull to as close as 2 points mid way to go in the final period. But Bolles would weather the storm, inserting Smith back into the game and pull away. Bolles-64 vs Kenny-53
