2016 Year In Review: Bolles Wins Second Straight State Championship Girls Soccer!

Melbourne FL -The Bolles Girls Soccer Team completed their incredible run by repeating as Champions, defeating Bishop Moore 4-1. Bolles dominated the affair from start to finish, jumping out to a 4-0 lead in the game. It was never close, and it was surprising to see them dominate in that fashion in a state championship game. The Lady Bulldogs may have been extra motivated by a little pregame smack talk by Bishop Moore, as if the defending champions needed any more incentive to play the championship contest.

Ariana Muñoz capped off the night with her second goal of the game, a 25 yard free kick. She scored Bolle’s third goal earlier in the contest to put the Lady Bulldogs up 3-0. Munoz completed the 2015-2016 season with 29 goals, an awesome feat for the talented athlete. Bolle’s first goal would come from Leila Azari on a penalty kick. Azari nailed the shot after narrowly missing an attempt earlier in the game that just missed the post. It was indeed a team affair as Bolle’s second goal came from Cami Dade on an assist by Munoz. At this point, the route was on.

With the win, Bolles achieves their 6th title all-time in Girls Soccer. A testament to the incredible coaching and performances by the players over the years. The Soccer team cements their claim as a dynasty at the storied school, where championship team’s poster the walls of the halls and tunnels. After their performance most would agree, it’s about time the Lady Bulldogs get a spot too!

Congratulations to the 2A State Champions Bolles Bulldogs!
