Lee Edges Oakleaf 39-34 in State Regional Semifinals!!

Lee- It was a back and forth game between two incredible teams Tuesday night. At stake was a trip to the State Regional Finals as both teams battled on the hardwood. Oakleaf would take an early lead thanks to Destiny Arvinger who led the Lady Knights with 11 points at the half. Arvin used her athleticism to create shots that Lee could not stop in the first half. Lee could only attempt to match the offensive output and they did so with Jaela Green and Akerini Timmons who both scored 6 points. Oakleaf led at halftime 25-18.

In the second half Lee would clamp down defensively preventing the shots that Oakleaf made in the first half. They took the lead midway through the third quarter but still played a close one all the way through.

In the end, it would be the Lady Generals that would advance to the Region 1-7A Finals. Lee will face Niceville Friday night for the chance to go to the State Final Four! Congratulations to Oakleaf on a great season, but Lee marches on to represent North East Florida in Class 7A. Lee’s Green would finish with 18 points. Oakleaf’s Arvinger finished with 12 points.
