Tallahassee- The Ribault Lady Trojans outscored the Rickards Raiders 20-1 in the first period en route to a 68-32 win. Day’Neshia Banks led all scorers with 29 points 7 rebounds 2 assists and 1 steal. Nola Carter added 12 points 7 rebounds 4 steals and 3 assists in a performance that can be described as utter dominance by the talent basketball team. The team seemed to play almost flawlessly moving the ball with precision, and contesting Raider shots. They had no answer for Banks down low as she seemed to score at will. Carter was a constant presence on defense as usual but also had one of her best performances offensively. Rennia Davis had 10 points and 13 rebounds while Kayla Rogers chipped in with 10 points as Rickards could not match Davis size and speed or Roger’s shooting. It was a complete team effort, as the ladies seem to be gelling just at the right time. Ribault has unfinished business as they look to avenge last year’s final final defeat and they played like they were on a mission Friday night. Ribault will face Dunbar from Ft. Myers in the 5A State final four next, as Dunbar defeated Booker 56-23 to advance.
