Providence Puts The Lock On Trinity; Advances to Regional Finals!

Providence- The defending State champs are making a serious run to repeat this year, and Tuesday they took another step in that direction by defeating cross town rival Trinity 65-46. Providence jumped out early in the contest and never looked back. Zachery Bryant scored 20 points in the first half as the Stallions built a commanding lead.

Trinity’s Shaun Wade tried to keep the Conquerors in the game scoring 9 points at the half. Providence came out focused in the second half scoring 32 points, never letting Trinity get close. Bryant would finish with a game high 35 points, while Trinity’s Jackson finished with 15 points. Providence would win the Class 3A Regional Final.

Now its on to the Regional Finals as Providence will face First Academy in the Class 3A title game. First Academy defeated P.K Young to advance.
