Sandalwood- After Creekside took care of business against West Nassau 16-6 onTuesday, they turned their attention to Sandalwood the host team. The Saints had been eyeing the Knights all week, perhaps even before the conclusion of their contest again at Orange Park. Who would blame them though, as Creekside has gained the respect and admiration from the entire Hight School Baseball community in Florida..

Head Coach John Gay of Orange Park said of Creekside, ” you’re going to see some good baseball with them (Creekside ). They play hard from start to finish and their kids have bought into their system. The ones that do normally succeed”.Head man Billy Bell virtually predicted what his Saints would encounter during their Thursday night defeat at the hands of Creekside. On Tuesday after their win against Orange Park he said,  “they (Creekside) don’t beat you per say by scoring a lot of runs or hits off the bats, but they play good defense and have good pitching, which is why they are so good”.

In a close contest of two similar teams Creekside would prevail. The Knight’s Carter Welsh got the win. Blake Morgan had a nice game as well, as Creekside goes to 14-3 on the season. They would win the Baker Sports Spring Baseball Tournament.
