At the start of the game both teams stranded players on base as the pitchers made it difficult to score runs. Trinity would strike first though, as Keillin Washington stole a base and was bought in on a base hit to make it 1-0 in the top of the first.

Episcopal would respond thanks to the hitting of Jacob Fiegal, who notted the game at 1 a piece with a big hit. Fiegal would have three hits in the game. His play would galvanize his team and had them playing hard in the beginning.

Coach Mike Jones of Episcopal attempted to keep Trinity off balance with pitching changes. When it seemed like the Conquerors got comfortable at bat, Jones would make a pitching change. Episcopal used three pitchers in the game, and it proved effective as Trinity had a hard time gaining momentum. When Trinity went ahead 4-1 in the 3rd, Episcopal scored to keep it close at 4-2.

It was a tremendous effort by Episcopal, who fought hard tonight, but suffered another loss. It hasn’t been the best season for them this year, but the players are learning a lot by playing baseball at a program with a storied history.

As for Trinity, they keep trucking and are 16-1. This was a great tune up for their big game Friday versus Providence. Both teams are atop the district and Providence will be ready for the biggest game of the year.
