For the Ribault Lady Trojan seniors, tonight marked the end of a magical ride that started back in 2012. After winning three state championships in four years. After winning a national championship in Madison Square Garden. After recieving a championship welcome at the airport, and a downtown parade complete with a visit to city hall. Tonight was the night they officially bid farewell to one another.
It was a special moment for the team as they celebrated their 2015-2016 season with their closest family and friends. But even more special for the team, was the honor that their Head Coach recieved at the banquet. Coach Shelia Pennick was presented with the key to the city of Jacksonville for her accomplishments in education, athletics, and contributions to the city of Jacksonville. Coach Pennick thanked many who played a part in her accomplishments, and shared the moment with her team. It was a fitting end to a season of treasures and Pennick was undoubtedly the key to her team’s chest of success.
