University Christian 91 & 92 vs Ed White 98′

1991-1992 University Christian

UC91

1991 University Christian topped their championship by going back the very next year in 1992 and winning again. A two peat almost became a 3 peat but in 1993 but they lost in the title game. In 91, University Christian’s  DT Terrance Gordon, OL Elijah Brown and company defeated QB Danny Kannell and Westminster, the defending champions at the time. University Christian appeared in the 1990 title game was well. Their only loss in 91 was to Charleton County. Running Back Rodney Deary carried the load for them literally. kickoff returns, punt returns, rushing attempts, you name it, he did it.

Vs

1998 Ed White

Ed White (11-2) Elite 8 team was loaded and led by linebackers Bam Hardmon (Florida) and Royce Hooks (Iowa State), quarterback Roshard Gilyard (Auburn) and tailbacks Travis Felder (Oklahoma State) and Reshaud Preston. Back-to-back appearances in Elite 8 round of playoffs for the Commanders with this group. This wing-T team ran it to perfection, and the defense was something out of a mad house. No wonder their matchup vs Raines in 1998 was billed the “game of the century”. It certainly lived up to it. They would lose to Daytona Beach Mainand in 98. To date remains only White team to win 11 games.

In 1997 the year before RB Travis Felder gained 1,599 yards and scored 19 touchdowns. On defense Sam Singleton led the team. (130 tackles) Royce Hooks (101) and Byron Hardmon (90 tackles, five interceptions, returning three for TDs)
