High School Football Power Rankings: Top 10 after Week #1

Duval Sports analyst Corey Davis and Andre Ellis list their top 10 High School Football teams in NE Florida after Week #1.

1.  Bolles (1-0)
Saw Bolles play Lake Mary last year, I’m surprised they were able to put up 62 against them this year.
 
2. Trinity (0-1)
Although they haven’t been playing well, they still showed signs of greatness against a bigger state power
3. Columbia (1-0)
Didn’t play that well early on but still got the W when it mattered on the road in Gainesville
4. Sandalwood (1-0)
Wasn’t shocked they won but was floored by how big the margin was against a decent Miami team
5. Raines (1-0)
I was highly impressed with their offense and the ability to come back, defense needs a lot or work still
6. Lee (0-1)
The highly talked about D took a step back against a reloaded young Raines offense but they will bounce back
7. Bartram Trail (1-0)
Not sure we learned anything about the Bears yet, but they will get tested against state power Mainland
8. UC (1-0)
Soldiers did what they had to do against tough Providence team, lets see how they do on the road in SC.
9. Ribault (0-1)
If Ribault finds a kicker this will be a dangerous team to watch. Impressive showing on the road in Miami.
10. Clay (0-1)
Don’t know what happened against a rebuilding Fleming Island team, but I fully expect Clay to learn from that and bounce back.

1.Bolles (1-0) – They were my #1 team coming into the preseason and I predicted them to bring a title home this year. They gave Lake Mary 62 reasons why they are the team to beat.

2.Sandalwood (1-0)  35 unanswered points on offense, completely shutout Miami Killian for three quarters. This Sandalwood team is for real.

3.Columbia (1-0) They didn’t play well against Gainesville, but they had a big emotional win down in Apopka for their kickoff classic so its to be expected. They still took care of business.

4.Ribault (0-1) I liked what I saw from Ribault even though they lost by three points to Miami Norland. Maybe the refs will be kinder as Trinity comes to Winton Dr.

5.Trinity (0-1) Two 0 and 1 teams atop my list is rare but Trinity is one of those examples that played a tough opponent in Cocoa hard losing in overtime. They’ll look to rebound back in Jacksonville.

6.Raines  (1-0) The Vikings are on a mission to prove to everyone this year’s team is legit. They were 2 legit to quit against Lee last week. What a comeback!

7.Lee (0-1) It was a devastating loss for Lee who thought they finally had Raine’s number. Westside is in for an angry General team.

8.University Christian (1-0) The defending Champs are 14 games away from going back to back after beating Providence

9. Bartram Trail (1-0) I like their versatility at the Quarterback position which allows them to score points.

10.Baker County (1-0) I am a believer! After defeating St. Augustine this team has my attention. Welcome to the top 10!
