Bishop Kenny- The Crusaders are taking care of business this year as they are racking up the wins. They improved to 3-1 after defeating Westside 34-13 Friday evening. Westside’s win over Stanton last week had them feeling confident and sure of the fact that they could score the upset against BK. But it was not the case, as Bishop Kenny was to much for the Wolverines.

Kenny scored on the first play from scrimmage for them on a 67 yard TD by Kurtis Gavin to go up 7-0. Yet Westsides’ Mathew Burst burst the ensuing kickoff return to the house to pull within one point 7-6 in the first quarter.

BK kicker Mathew Brust added two field goals to make it 20-6 when Salem Farmand hit Jimmy Citrano for the touchdown to go up 27-6. The Crusader defense patrolled the air all night as Kyle Cusick grabbed an interception on the night. Getting the ball back to Kurtis Gavin was a good idea. By the third period he had rushed for 130 yards on just 7 carries. Including a 26 yard touchdown to end his night. At 34-6, Westside’s Sweeting hit Nelson Pagan on a TD reception to close the game out. Final Score 34-13 Kenny
