Christ’s Church Takes Over First Place From First Academy With Road Win!

Leesburg Fl-– The Christ’s Church Eagles improved to 4-1 on the season with a big division win over First Academy (Leesburg) 32-17. CCA improved to 2-0 in division play on the season. As always the Eagles received great efforts in the win from their offense, defense, and special teams, as all three scored in this contest. First Academy came into the game at 4-1 overall and the only team standing in the way of Christ Church. The Eagle’s defense held First Academy to just 25 yards rushing in the game. On offense the Eagles rushed for 239 yards, 185 of which came from athlete DJ Lamppp. Lampp has stepped up big for the running game of Christ Church. He and the other leaders on the team like Louie Nammour DE/OG, TE Trey Higginbothem, and QB Zach Baldwin have the team in sole possession of 1st place in the SSAC North Florida Division with only 2 division games remaining.

According to a maxpreps rankings for SSAC teams, Christ’s Church is currently ranked #7 amongst all SSAC schools. This is the first time a Christ Church football team has been ranked that high. Hats off to Coach Jim Stomps and the hard working folks over at Christ’s Church for putting together a great program. They’ll look to keep it going against rival Bishop Snyder next week. A game the eagles will be heavy favorites in.
