We have reached the midway point of the season, only a few weeks left in the regular season. As teams make their final push towards making the playoffs.

I will break down each local district and tell you who is good shape, who needs help and who can already prepare for the 2017 season.

From 8A to 1A we have you covered with district breakdowns, telling you who is playoff bound and who is nearly packing up their equipment.

Midway report

Contenders: Middleburg (2-0), St. Augustine (1-0)

Bubble: Ed White (1-1), Nease (0-1)

Life support: Englewood (0-2)

Eliminated: No one

Outlook: A lot will be decided this coming week, with four of the five teams in play. Middleburg can wrap up its first playoff spot since 2003 with a win over Nease. Nease can throw a wrench in the district with an upset win over Middleburg. Even with a loss to St. Augustine, Ed White is praying for a Nease win over Middleburg to remain in the playoff race. Englewood sits out this week and would be eliminated with either a Middleburg or St. Augustine win.
