Bolles Trails Cocoa at the Half 24-7 in 4A State Championship

Orlando, FL- The Bolles Bulldogs trail Cocoa 24-7 at halftime in the FHSAA Class 4A Championship. Cocoa’s Javian Hawkins started the game quick for the Tigers with a 70 yard touchdown run to put them up 7-0. The rushing attack for the Tigers has dominated the game. Lasedrick King rushed the second touchdown for Cocoa to make it 14-0. Bolles finally got on the board with a touchdown catch by EJ Porter from Quarterback Mac Jones to close the game to 14-7. However Bolles defense wasn’t able to stop the Tigers on the ensuing drive as Bruce Judson bust a 75 yard touchdown run with 6:57 left in the 2nd quarter to make it 21-7. They would add a field goal to make it 24-7.

Bolle’s defense has been good against the run this year but not in this game. They’ve been gashed for over 200 yards rushing in the first half. At one point, the Tigers had 235 yards on just 18 carries, without attempting a single pass in the game. In order for Bolles to win another championship they must stop the run in the second half and regroup on offense as the Cocoa defense has stuffed the Bolles run game.
