Yulee Mighty Mite opens season with big win over arch-rival

Spread out between four counties, the First Coast Conference comprises one of the largest Pop Warner football conferences in the First Coast area. The league consists of teams from Callahan, Clay PAL, Fleming Island, Fernandina Beach, Jacksonville Beach, Oakleaf, Orange Park, Middleburg, Ponte Vedra, St. Augustine and Yulee.

The conference competes in both Division 2 and Division 3 in Pop Warner and fields teams in Tiny Mite, Mighty Mite, Junior Pee Wee and Pee Wee.

Yulee Mighty Mite Jaiden Wright scored 3 touchdowns in the Hornets 33-13 win over Fernandina Beach.
Yulee Mighty Mite TJ Williamson added two touchdowns in the win over Fernandina Beach.

Action began weeks ago with opening week Aug 26, followed by Week 2 Sept 2; before Hurricane Irma postponed games Sept 9 and likely this weekend Sept 16.

While the majority of scores were unavailable, Yulee defeated Fernandina Beach 33-13 in Mighty Mite play opening week. Jaiden Wright scored three touchdowns and TJ Williamson added two more to help the Hornets get the big win over the Pirates opening week.
