With two weeks left in the regular season, nothing has been decided in the North East Florida Athletic Conference.
Green Cove and Wilkinson both were in total control needing one more win to wrap up their divisions; however both were upset by Oakleaf and Bradford County causing chaos in both divisions.
The result is both the North and South divisions ending in three-way ties and coaches scrambling to figure out how the ties would be broken.
As we head into the final two weeks, here is how the conference teams rank as of right now.
WEEK 7
1. Lake Asbury (4-1)
Since a stunning last second loss to Wilkinson in week two, the Tigers have reeled off three straight wins to put themselves back in the South division race.
2. Oakleaf (3-2)
Like Lake Asbury, the Yellow Jackets have reeled off three straight wins also after 0-2 start to put themselves back in the North division race.
3. Green Cove (3-2)
If not for a missed point after attempt, the Cougars may have wrapped up the North. Instead it comes down to a non division game.
4. Bradford County (3-2)
With their season on the line, Bradford saved their season with a shocking 18-0 win over Wilkinson last week to force the three-way tie.
5. Wilkinson (3-2)
Wilkinson has to be kicking themselves after a let down loss to Bradford last week that cost them the chance to wrap up the South division.
6. Orange Park (2-3)
The biggest benefactor of the Oakleaf win was the Wildcats hand down, that win coupled with the close win over arch-rival Lakeside kept their season alive.
7. Keystone Heights (1-3)
Both Keystone and Lakeside had nothing to play for last week other than playing spoilers. The Indians get a chance for revenge against arch-rival Bradford this week.
8. Lakeside (0-5)
Lakeside gave arch-rival Orange Park all it could handle and more last week. The season hasn’t been kind to the Gators but with three more games left they hope to end the season a positive note.
