Jeff Davis Chargers Outlast Lake Shore Warriors in Defensive Slugfest

You clearly felt the disappointment on both sides of this field as the game ended for the Jeff Davis Chargers and the Lake Shore Warriors. Even though one lost and the other won, the Chargers, the winners, felt like it wasn’t their best effort. In the Chargers huddle after the game, the boys didn’t look like they won, but more like “did I do my job well enough”. This is a great attitude to have as it fosters a winning culture for the Chargers. The Lake Shore fought to give everything they could to pull off the upset. They played physical but they ultimately just couldn’t get it done.

The Warrior stayed dialed in throughout the game as they played with determination to never give up on the play. After the safety by the Chargers defense late in the 4th, the players could ultimately see the writing on the wall. The Chargers were able to move the ball in a balanced way with the run and the pass.

Both team put up an epic fight for what was an important game within their division.  In what seemed like a defensive slug fest, neither team was able to get into the end zone until Jeff Davis changed things with the first score of the night. They eventually won the game in a 9-0 victory with the only touchdown of the night coming from Kaloun Walker and a safety by the Chargers stout defense.
