New number one at the top in St. Johns County, but for how long

JULINGTON CREEK – In a highly anticipated showdown No. 2 Fruit Cove stunned No. 1 Gamble Rogers last week 18-0 to move to the top of the rankings this week; but how long will they remain there.

Now the Flyers find themselves in another 1 vs 2 showdown this time as the No.  1 team hosting No. 2 Liberty Pines tonight for homecoming.

Will the Flyers remain on top again or will for the second straight week the No. 2 team pull off the stunning upset?

While both teams have already clinched playoff spots, this one will providing no sudden upsets will likely decide  the No. 1 overall seed for the upcoming playoffs.

Last week’s No. 1 team Gamble Rogers can join both Fruit Cove and Liberty Pines in the playoffs with a win over Pacetti Bay this afternoon. While, defending county champion Swiss Point meets host Landrum today to decide the fourth seed.
