ORLANDO, FL : Trinity Christian completed their quest for a second straight championship with their defeat of American Heritage Delray  27-7 to win the class 3A State Championship. Coach Verlon Dorminey second championship in as many years puts him in an elite class of coaches here in Jacksonville. The Conquers went 11-2 on the season and look to add even more hardware to their trophy case next year.

As for this year seniors Kevin Toliver, Jeffery Holland, Kendrick. Norton, Andre Smith, Chris Barr, Victor Alexander, Ben Edwards and Deontai Williams will all end their careers with a state championship. Barr led the team with 109 yds rushing on just 6 carries and a TD in the championship game.Kevin Toliver added TDs for Trinity on the ground as well. A game in which some people  didn’t give Trinity a chance was dominated by the Conquerors. But not just by their Seniors. Sophomore Rasheed Martin got in the endzone on offense and on defense, freshman Tyreke Johnson added another interception to his impressive young resume.

One of the highest scoring teams in the state was suffocated by the Conquerors. Alexander led the team in tackles while Jeffery Holland added a sack. A total and complete effort by Trinity Christian to win the title.
