2017 Duval Sports Large School: First Team All-Area Offense

We release our 2017 All-Area football teams beginning this week, our All-Area teams are split up into small school and large school teams to give more kids due recognition.

Our large school teams (Class 5A-8A) consists of players from Sandalwood, Mandarin, Lee, Columbia, Fletcher, First Coast, Atlantic Coast, Bartram Trail, Fleming Island, Creekside, Oakleaf, St. Augustine, Nease, Ed White, Middleburg, Englewood, Ribault, Yulee, Stanton, Paxon, Suwannee, Bolles, Trinity, Ponte Vedra, Bishop Kenny, Parker, Westside, Baker County, Clay, Menendez, Ridgeview, Palatka and Orange Park.

Our All-Area teams are all about production and not about recruiting rankings or offers on the table. You don’t produce you don’t make our teams.

Why: 159 of 258 for 2,495, 34 TD, 7 INT

Joey Gatewood, Bartram Trail, Sr., QB
Why: 117 of 171 for 1,421 yards, 12 TD/1 INT, 161 carries for 1087 yards, 10 TD, 6.8 y.p.c.

Aundre Carter, Clay, Sr., RB
Why: 256 carries for 2,348 yards, 24 TD, 9.2 y.p.c.

Seth Paige, Baker County, Sr., RB
Why: 262 carries for 1803 yards, 22 TD

Dexter Brown, St. Augustine, Sr., RB
Why: 172 carries for 1,694 yards, 18 TD, 9.9 y.p.c.

Karim Brown, St. Augustine, Sr., WR
Why: 59 catches for 1,385 yards, 17 TD, 7.1 y.p.c.

Isaiah Washington, Trinity, Jr., WR
Why: 54 catches for 957 yards, 10 TD, 17.7 y.p.c.

Chris Sanders, Bolles, Jr., WR
Why: 50 catches for 947 yards and 8 TD

Cooper Hodges, Baker County, Sr., OL
Why: Versatile lineman played both ways as well as fullback at times

Jason Brooks, Clay, Sr., OL
Why: Leader of offensive line and huge reason for Carter success.

Brad Cecil, Bartram Trail, Sr., OL
Why: USF signee paved way for Bears explosive offense

Darrell Farrell, St. Augustine, Sr., OL
Why: Huge reason Jackets had 1000 passer, 1000 rusher and 1000 receiver

Joshua Brown, Suwannee, So., OL
Why: Graded out 90% along with 40 pancakes

Kenny Logan, Menendez, Jr. ATH
Why: Like his counterpart, Logan was all over the field accumulating 1,391 AP yards finishing 1 for 1 for 20 yards passing and a touchdown, 79 carries for 637 yards and 9 touchdowns, 34 catches for 478 yards and 3 touchdowns, 12 total touchdowns, 55 tackles and 1 INT

Darien Oxedine, Menendez, Jr., ATH
Why: Oxedine did a lit bit of everything for the Falcons finishing 34 of 65 for 510 yards passing with 6 TD, 191 carries for 1094 yards and 10 TDs, 15 catches for 203 yards and 2 TD, 1807 AP yards, 21 total touchdowns, 1 interception on defense

Why: 26/26 PAT, 5/5 FG, Long 35
