ORANGE PARK – Ridgeview, Bolles and Fletcher are moving on to the Elite 8 after second round playoff wins last night over Matanzas, Episcopal and Creekside.
All three got there with superb defense and just enough offense to survive and advance to the next round.
Ridgeview 1, Matanzas 0
Miguel Ortiz goal barely a minute into the second half was good enough to hold off Matanzas 1-0 in the second round of the boys playoffs last night at Ridgeview.
Matanzas unleashes a barrage of attacks on keeper but Munoz keeps denying them under 2 to play still 1-0.

Keeper Adam Mineo survived a barrage of attacks late in the game as Matanzas spent the last five minutes on their side of the field and fired shot after shot at Mineo but he kept denying them.
Ridgeview ⚽️ will make the long trip to Panama City to play Arnold Wednesday in the Elite 8, after a 2-1 win over Mosley.

Now Ridgeview (14-1-1) looks to continue to make school history with a win over Arnold in the Region 1-3A final at Arnold next week.

Fletcher 4, Creekside 1
According to Clayton Freeman from the Time Union, Fletcher (21-1-2) is moving on to the regional final for the first time since 2004 with a 4-1 win over host Creekside last night.
After to two road wins at Oakleaf (3-1) and Creekside (4-1), the Senators will make the six hour trip to Niceville next Wednesday to play in the Region 1-4A final.
Bolles 2, Episcopal 0
Behind goals from Frank Iturriaga and Alonso Munoz, the host Bolles Bulldogs knocked out district rival Episcopal 2-0 in the second round of the playoffs last night.
Bolles (13-2-3) travels to Pensacola Catholic next Wednesday for its Region I-2A regional final (Elite 8) game, after the Crusaders game with Florida High was cancelled after two lightning delays and the Crusaders up 2-1 in the second half.
Maclay 6, Christ Church 1
The obstacle of defeating defending Class 1A state champion Tallahassee Maclay on their home field was to much to overcome for the Eagles (12-2-2) last night.
