Bartram Trail Bears and Coach Jake Teuscher got the stunning 50-47 win over top seed and host Fleming Island in the 4-8A title game Saturday. Click Here For The Story. Bella Weary (13.6ppg) and Reedy Davenport (11.7ppg) led the Lady Bears in scoring this year, and have over come several obstacles including playing every game on the road to claim a district title. They are certainly battle tested and road warriors, which may prove to work in the ir favor in the state tournament.

Fleming Island (23-5)
This may be the best first round match-up in the entire Girl’s Basketball State bracket! Because top seeded Fleming Island lost, they now have to face number one seed First Coast in the first round. They’ll look to stop the offensive onslaught by Moriah Steele and company by deploying a defense that has stifled opponents all season. Look for Tia Robinson (16.2 ppg) and Aubrey Burke to match Steele and Bryant (13.7 ppg) basket for basket. IIf it’s going to be a high scoring game, that’s one that favors Fleming Island.
