University Christian
Fundamentally sound is the term Coach David Penland III stressed in the first day of spring football practice. After coming off their State Championship Runner Up achievement in 2017, UC finds themselves in a reloading year.

The Fighting Christians loses 20 seniors this year, players who were critical to the success the program has achieved in recent years including back to back State Championships in 2015 and 2016. So the spring campaign will be one to evaluate their young talent and transfers. Coach Penland’s staff will certainly be evaluating their roster over the summer and look to fill holes they observe in spring competition with potential transfers.
