1. Jaheim Singletary – ATH Gibert

 

 

 

 

 

 

He is affectionately known as “Slim”, yet don’t let his slim frame fool you. Jaheim plays “wide”; as in wide receiver. A wide receiver who possess a wide catch radius. Throw it up in the air, and watch him go get it. When he’s on his game, he’s unstoppable in the red zone.

His Most Memorable Play: The Kirby Smith game, I scored on the very first play, on an unexpected kickoff return”

2. Freddie Manning- ATH Ribault

There isn’t a position on the field he can’t play. He is one of the most electrifying receivers in middle school football. Manning also excelled on defense at corner back and special teams at returner. He can score at every position and is someone you must game plan for.

His Most Memorable Play: Manning took a screen pass 95 yards for a touchdown versus Kirby Smith

3. Jalen Sonnier- QB Jeff Davis

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

He’s one of the hardest workers around at his position. Dedicated to being the best Quarterback he can be,  Jalen Sonnier got better and better as the season progressed. By the end, he connected on several deep TD passes and appeared in the Duval County Championship game.

His Most Memorable Play: A 60 yd touchdown pass to Charles Thompson in the playoff game versus Dupont

4. Jakob Merhout OL – University Christian

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The key component to the University Christian middle school offensive line, Jakob Merhout opened holes for some of the best running backs in the city. His attention to detail and technique makes him one of the best linemen in the city.

His Most Memorable Play: “I got a big block downfield for William Belton’s 50 yard TD run”

5. Anthony Kirkland -ATH Landmark

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Landmark went to the playoffs for the first time in school history thanks in part to play-maker Anthony Kirkland. Speed, power, and versatility, Kirland was a major factor at running-back and linebacker.

His Most Memorable Play: In a sudden death shootout versus Arlington, Kirkland made a 4th down stop on defense and scored the game winning TD on offense the very next play.

6. Kareem Burke- ATH Gilbert

 

 

 

 

 

 

Turn on the film and watch him work. Kareem Burke made some spectacular plays for the Panthers this year. He is described as the ultimate play-maker on a field full of play-makers at Gilbert. That’s a tremendous honor.

His Most Memorable Play: Burke had a spectacular punt return for a TD versus Oceanway

7. Al Gipson- WR Trinity

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Like lightning in a bottle, Al Gipson was quick and elusive for Trinity Middle. Get the ball in his hands and look at him go. He scored multiple touchdowns for the Conquerors.

His Most Memorable Play: Playing with a injured hamstring, Gipson caught a 80 yard TD pass from Daniel Plummer III against Bolles.

8. Anthony Thomas- RB   Ribault

 

 

 

 

 

 

Anthony Thomas speed and hard nosed running is one of the reasons he is in the elite class of runners in the area. When ever he was afforded the opportunity, you saw his extreme talent and ability.

His Most Memorable Play: Amp took a toss sweep and made four players miss on his way to the end zone

9. Savion Wells- ATH Jeff Davis

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Savion was a key piece to the Jeff Davis Chargers magical season. You can catch this play-maker knifing in to make tackles from his corner position. He’s one of the hardest hitting corners in the city.

His Most Memorable Play:  Against Jeb Stuart, Savion ran from the other side of the field to lay a punishing hit on their running back to end of the game. Everybody from Jeff Davis was yelling with excitement.

10. Xander Ross- ATH Trinity

 

 

 

 

 

Ross comes from a family full of athletes, and this young man continues the family tradition. Xander may have the biggest upside of everyone in the family. He played defensive back for Trinity Middle, making play after play for the Conquerors this year.

His Most Memorable Play:  Ross made a key interception in the Bolles game. Cementing the shutout for his defense.
