1. Quincy Burroughs- DB Ribault

Ribault DB Quincy Burroughs celebrates after winning MVP in the championship game

Arguably the best defensive back in the area, Quincy Burroughs cemented his name in Ribault middle school history by securing a pick 6 to lead the Colts to their first county championship. Yet Quincy isn’t just a cover corner, he can also make plays with the ball in his hands, like a punt return he had versus Kirby Smith.

His Most Memorable Play: The first series of the game, Burroughs had a one handed interception return for a touchdown against Jeff Davis.

2. Jack Damon- ATH Landon

” He’s the best player on the field” These were the words of coaches who faced Landon when Jack Damon suited up. Damon is an all around athlete, with a non stop motor. He’ll never give up and you have to drag him off the field in order to win. Good luck with that.

His Most Memorable Play: ” I ran a right from the 40 yard line and broke through two tackles for a touchdown versus Kernan”.

He has the size that high school coaches dream of and that college coaches look for. That’s why Carlton Butler was not only a great player for Gilbert, but is also a great prospect at the next levels.

His Most Memorable Play: Held Ribault’s receivers to no touchdown catches. The only time it was done all year.

4. Masiah Wells -DE Jeff Davis

Masiah always knew he wanted to play defensive end. So its no surprise that this prototypical end made lots of plays for the Western division champion Jeff Davis Chargers.

His Most Memorable Play: I had 8 tackles in the championship game vs Ribault in the first half.

He may be the most exciting wide receiver in Northeast Florida. Kyree Hammond made highlight after highlight on the field, showcasing a unique ability to dominate the wide receiver position.

His Most Memorable Play: Kyree made an incredible punt return vs Baker County, that was the difference in the game.

The big man from Arlington showed his versatility. Not only did he play in the trenches but he also was used to run the ball as well. Sayvion’s size makes him an opposing coach’s nightmare. He cant be stopped once he gets that big frame moving with purpose.

His Most Memorable Play:  Getting a chance to run the ball, Sayvion got to bam his way into the endzone for a TD.

There isn’t anything Ja’Won Grey cant do on the field. The ultimate weapon between the hashes, Grey is a main reason no other team could match the athleticism of Ribault all year. WR, DB, LB, you name it, he can do it!

Anthony Williams is the type of player every coach wants on his team. Tough, a team player, and willing to do the dirty work that is required to field a successful football program. Wound him up, and watch him wreak havoc!
