Area well represented in state polls as Raines tops 4A polls

Area teams are well represented in the pre-season Florida High School football rankings released by the Associated Press and FloridaHSFootball yesterday.

No surprise defending state champion Raines tops the Class 4A rankings in both polls, the Vikings open their season Friday at home against No. 8 Lee in the Graveyard.

University Christian (1-0) fresh off its season opening road 34-16 win at Metrolina Christian last week, is ranked No. 2 and will host Bolles in its home opener Friday in a battle of old school private school powers.
