University Christian- The anticipation brewed in the preseason from both Bolles and University Christian, as the two teams prepared to renew a familiar neighborhood rivalry. Both schools are situated fairly close to each other in terms of vicinity. However on Friday night, the two teams couldn’t be further apart in terms of victory.
Bolles dominated the contest jumping out to a 14-0 lead, thanks to a big effort from Quarterback Ben Netting. Netting scored three rushing touchdowns in the contest, including two in the first half. Netting’s second touchdown was set up nicely by a long run from runningback Jayden McCloud who’s romp took the ball to the one yard line.

The touchdown run by Netting gave Bolles a 20-0 lead, and took the air completely out of the sails of UC. Kenny Samuels led them in rushing with 79 yards in the first half as everything seemed to be clicking for the Bulldogs. Samuels would leave the game in the second with an injury.

The Christians needed a quick answer in order to jump start their confidence, and they would get it from their quarterback Ridge Jacobs and runningback Chris Denson. Jacobs would find Denson on a long pass and Denson would do the rest racing for the touchdown to put UC on the board before the half.

Finally, wide receiver Chris Sanders put the game on ice when he returned a punt for a touchdown making it 33-7. His second touchdown of the night.
