Bolles Off To A Fast Start Scoring 90 Points in Two Games

Jacksonville- Bolles defeated New Hampstead (Savannah Ga) 43-34 last week to improve to 2-0 in the early part of the 2018 season. The Bulldogs offense is clicking on all cylinders thanks to their powerful running game. Against New Hampstead, Andre’ Parker got into the enzone on a 4 yard touchdown run to kick off the scoring 8-0. Bolles never looked back.

Mixing the pass and run, Tight End Simon Bracken would catch the touchdown from Ben Netting as Bolles increased their lead to 15-0. After a score by New Hampstead, Jayden Kel McCloud would bust around the end and tip toe down the sideline for a touchdown run putting the Bulldogs up 22-6. The Phoenix made a run to tie the game 24-24 in the third quarter., yet big plays from wide receiver Chris Sanders, including a 25 yard touchdown reception, gave Bolles the advantage on offense for good. Defense would seal the win as Bryson Kirksey would secure an interception, and Jack Munoz’s pick 6 stapled the victory in the win column for Bolles.

With wins over University Christian and New Hampstead, Bolles now turns it’s sights toward the tough stretch of their schedule. Next up for Bolles (2-0) is Rockledge (2-0), a team that played Raines extremely tough in their kickoff classic. Bolles should be extremely confident right now, scoring 90 points in two games. The importance for Bolles to get off to a fast start is paramount, as the team and Head Coach Wayne Belger attempt to build momentum against tough teams to prepare them for their toughest test of the season in two weeks. Their showdown with Trinity.
