Last year was a year of first for a lot of middle school football teams; four new playoff teams, four new divisional winners and the end of a historic streak.
Playoff veterans Mandarin, Twin Lakes, Fletcher, Lakeshore and most shockingly Gilbert were no where to be found come mid November, as newcomers Dupont, Jeff Davis, Landmark and Ribault all pulled stunning upsets to qualify for the playoffs for the first time. Thanksgiving Week was capped by Ribault claiming its first county title.
So what’s in store for 2018, will it be more chaos or will things get back to normal and we have the same old teams back in the playoffs again.

The 2018 season kicks off with the reigning county champions the Ribault Colts hosting playoff veteran Fletcher Senators in Week 1, while Dupont travels to Lakeshore and Jeff Davis at Mandarin.
