The Senators washed into Don Garrett stadium confidently expectant of a Friday night victory. Englewood stood strong and mighty prepared to lock horns with the Senators on their own turf. The much-anticipated battle began with Englewood’s running back Jordan Mitchell headed towards a strong run but was suddenly stopped by Fletcher’s defensive lineman Hunter May. Unbeknownst to Englewood, Fletcher’s defense would continue to bully the Rams offense for the remainder of the game. #6 Jeremiah Payton would put Fletcher on the scoreboard with the first touchdown of the evening bouncing the score to 7-0. Englewood’s failed attempt to make a run resulted in a second touchdown by the Senators #22 Treveous Johnson. Unfortunately, the run was called back due to a flag on the play. Apparently, the prior call did not agree with Treveous Johnson because he would come back to make a big statement on the field by scoring a touchdown run at the end of the first intensifying the score to 13-0.
