Andre’s Top 3

Quarterbacks

  1. Jordan Smith – Columbia-  1,669 passing yds 16 Passing TDs 5 Int, 209 rushing yds 5  TDs
  2. Gavin Screws -Baldwin-  1,320 passing yds, 13 Passing TDs,  2 Int, 190 Rushing 2 TDs
  3. Carson Beck- Mandarin- 1042 Passing Yds, 12 Passing TDs, 3 Int,

Andre’s Take:

  • Jordan Smith is the most dynamic Quarterback I’ve seen all year. He is a young Michael Vick .
  • Gavin Screws has a cannon of an arm, he’s the main reason Baldwin is undefeated.
  • Carson Beck is the most polished college ready drop back QB I’ve seen this year so far.

Running Backs

1. Marcus Crowley- Trinity- 870 rushing yds, 12 TDs

2. Keshawn King- Oakleaf-  906 rushing yds 17 TDs

3. Brandon Marshall- Raines- 1072 yards and 13 touchdowns,

  • Marcus Crowley is one of those rare running backs that you see every decade. Like a Derek Henry. He’s just that special
  • Keshawn King has lived up to his name since his freshman year. When he gets the ball he is King over every defense.
  • Brandon Marshall is the most underrated running back in Northeast Florida. Power, agility, speed. He has it all.

Wide Receivers

  1. TJ. Jones- Columbia-  541 receiving yds, 3 TDS
  2. Marquez Bell- Columbia- 578 receiving yds, 7 TDs

3. Tahveon Nicholson, Lee- 469 receiving yds,  5 TDs

  • TJ Jones is the most explosive wide receiver I’ve seen in a very long time. His speed and agility are unmatched
  • Marquez Bell’s game is beautiful to watch. He catches balls in stride and has a wide catch radius.
  • Taz Nicholson pound for pound may be the best athlete in Northeast Florida. What an addition to the Generals!

Defense

  1. Andrew Brown, LB Trinity 52 Tackles, 1 interception

2. Triston Herndon, DE Sandalwood, 8 Sacks

3. Jalen Mitchell, Fletcher 8 interceptions 2 TDs

  • As a middle linebacker, I look for those players that change the game with their play. I saw Brown shadow Columbia’s Jordan Smith and tackle him in open field. Wow!
  • Herndon is leading the area in sacks. He’s a wild man off the edge for Sandalwood. And he’s still learning the position!
  • Mitchell is carrying Fletcher’s defense right now. Three interceptions in one game and 8 overall before October!
