Dupont Middle’s Carmello Murphy had an interception and led all players in rushing (including a 60 yard TD run) as the Dragons defeated the Southside Knights 20-12 in week #4. Dupont has leaned on Murphy often and the law of averages suggests that he’ll eventually score. Heading into week #5 the south division is firmly led by Mandarin who is the only undefeated team in the division. It will be a must win game for Southside as the host Mandarin this week. Also big match ups between Ribault and Highlands, Landmark and Fletcher, and Jeff Davis and Lake Shore highlight week five in Duval County Middle school action.
