Eleven games are on the schedule tonight thanks to Florida-Georgia weekend, leaving area fans plenty of games to choose from.
The hard part is which game to choose to attend and watch. There are several huge games to keep an eye on this week.
While Raines at Lincoln is a huge game in Tallahassee, locally there are a handful with playoff implications on the line tonight.
Here is a quick rundown of what’s at stake tonight.
District 1-8A
Palm Coast (7-2, 2-1) at Mandarin (5-3, 3-0)
Deland (7-1, 2-1) at Sandalwood (5-3, 1-2)
Sandalwood is all but out of the playoffs sitting in the middle of the pack of teams in their region, the Saints could play a huge spoiler with a win tonight. A Sandalwood win eliminates Deland from the district title and makes the Mandarin-Palm Coast winner the district champion.
A Deland win coupled with a Palm Coast win creates a three-way tie between Deland, Palm Coast and Mandarin, which would not be broken until Nov. 4 when the final power rankings come out.
A Mandarin win clinches the district title for the Mustangs and a top four seed in the upcoming playoffs and home playoff game.
District 2-7A
Columbia (7-1, 3-0) at First Coast (4-4, 1-2)
Outlook: The good news is Columbia already wrapped up the district title, its first since 2015. The bad news is a handful of starters are either hurt or suspended due to an incident before the game. First Coast is sitting in the ninth spot of the recent power rankings one spot out of the final playoff berth, a win over Columbia would all but secure a spot.
Lee (6-1, 2-1) at Fletcher (6-2, 2-1)
Outlook: Lee is in the playoffs but still has a lot to play for this week, as people have been doubting this team after unimpressive wins over First Coast and Atlantic Coast the last couple weeks. Fletcher is in a must win situation and controls its own destiny the last two weeks. A win over Lee and or Mandarin would almost certain lock up a playoff spot for the Senators.
District 4-6A
Nease (2-6, 2-1) at Englewood (1-7, 0-3)
Outlook: An abysmal season took a turn into a completely different direction the last two weeks after Nease upset St. Augustine last week causing chaos in the district. A win tonight would put Nease in great position in the district and depending on what happens tomorrow in Middleburg could put them in the playoffs or in a tiebreaker.
District 3-5A
Yulee (2-6, 2-1) at Ribault (4-4, 3-0)
Outlook: A young Ribault team has finally grown up a bit and can clinch the district for the third consecutive year. A loss would create a three-way tie which would come down to the final power rankings released Nov. 4 on the statewide show.
