Today at TIAA Bank Field, teams will go head to head in the Pop Warner youth football league, competing for the right to hoist the coveted city championship. It’s an annual right of passage, as teams have fought all season for the chance to play at the “Jaguar Stadium” in hopes of representing the Greater Jacksonville Pop Warner association in the Southeast Playoffs and eventually the Super Bowl held at Disney. Two teams that are looking to make their mark as city champions are the Junior Pee Wee Normandy Cowboys and West Duval Sharks.
West Duval defeated the Creeks Outlaws and Normandy defeated the Henry Brown Panthers to set up a division 2 junior pee wee championship today at TIAA Bank Field between West Duval and Normandy. West Duval has a high powered offense as the Sharks will attempt to use multiple weapons to out score the Cowboys.
On a six game winning streak, Normandy brings a stout defense into the game, and will look to lean on them to carry the team to the championship.

Look for a hard nosed game today as both teams are familiar with each other. Normandy got the best of them just two weeks before their playoff game, but West Duval believes they are on a big high from their playoff win. It’s a classic match of offense versus defense and we’ll see who wins today!
