Third round: Seven area teams count their blessings one by one

” Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things,” Psalm 107: 8-9 reads.

As we sit down to the table with our immediate family or our extended (football) family, let us give thanks for the many blessing that have been given to us and those that are yet to come.

For seven local teams, they continue to count their blessings each week as they get closer and closer to the ultimate goal of winning a state championship.

For teams like Raines, Bolles, Trinity and University Christian practicing on Thanksgiving Day has not become an annual tradition its become an expected tradition as well, while for other teams like Mandarin, Lee and West Nassau this is new territory that hopes to become an annual tradition.

We’re not only thankful to see our family again but also the fact we get to see several rematches and rivalries again every year in the playoffs.

We are thankful to be able to see playoff rivals North Florida Christian and University Christian meet for the 15th time overall and the eighth straight year in the playoffs.
