The hero of the championship game headlines our tournament team. Anthony Jeanty possesses the instincts and mental tenacity that every good team needs. When passed the ball with seconds left in the championship game, Jeanty simply went off instincts. He didn’t pass it to talented teammates Dalvin Storey or Tyrone Young, both whom could have easily made it on this team. Instead, he drove to the basket with one thing on his mind… scoring. This wasn’t the first time Jeanty led the Commanders. In the first half versus Englewood, Jeanty led Ed White to a 21 point lead. Little did we know that this would be a foreshadowing of his late game heroics versus Jackson. This leadership is exactly the compliment a great team needs.
