Anthony Johnson’s presence controlled the paint all tournament for the Commanders. His presence did not just consist of his 6’6 200 plus pound frame. His demeanor accompanied it as well. The big man’s play was as if the opposing team stole Johnson’s lunch money earlier in day. Any player from the opposing team that attempted a layup, Johnson would emphatically reject their efforts. And on the offensive end the talented big man grabbed rebounds, showcased strong moves in the paint, and erupted the crowd with his rim rattling dunks. The championship game was clearly his finest hour. His presence in the paint made the athletic guards from Jackson alter their shots. Anthony is the ultimate weapon on our Gateway Tournament Team!
