Middle School Basketball Rankings Week 4: Landon Lions Finding Their Courage

Heading into week #5 of the Duval County Middle School basketball season, we see several teams that are playing great team basketball. Teams win championships, and right now there are several teams that have the opportunity to take home the 2019 trophy. Two teams that are playing exceptional team ball right now coincidentally are from the same school. The Landon Boys and Girls basketball teams are winning in every way on the court.

The girls basketball team improved to 5-0 in the division and 6-1 overall after their overtime victory over Darnell Cookman last week. The team learned a lot about themselves in the game. After leading by as much as 14 points in the contest, Landon saw their lead evaporate and head into overtime. Yet in overtime, they were able to find their courage and their way to a big win, staying atop their division with the 40-32 victory. They move up to number three this week in our power rankings.
