Outlook: Despite the rain, the Knights picked up a big win last week in a 11-1 beat down over district rival Fletcher. Senior pitcher Madi Davis fired a one-hitter, while the offense picked up 11 hits in the win as the Knights improved to 3-0 in District 2-8A. The No. 2 nationally ranked team according to Extra Innings has looked sharp so far in four dominating wins. Knights draw Fletcher again in a non-district before a huge district showdown with Atlantic Coast Thursday.
This week: Fletcher (March 5), Atlantic Coast (March 7)
2 Mandarin (4-0)

Outlook: Things were a bit intense this past week for the Mustangs who survived two nail biters to remain undefeated including a 1-0 win over Paxon and a 5-1 win in 10 innings over district arch rival Sandalwood. Ashley Wiebenga got the win in both games combining for 23 strikeouts. The win over Sandalwood keeps the Mustangs in front in District 1-9A ahead of both Sandalwood and Palm Coast, whom the Mustangs travel to today for another key 1-9A game.

In the win over Episcopal, Katelyn Meyer delivered the walk off RBI single while teammates Haley Provencal provided a two run homerun and Maddie Latta was 3-4 for with two doubles and a triple. Because of the rain, the Bears will play three games this week making it a busy week for them.

Outlook: Quite a week for the defending state runnerups, first a 4-0 win over district rival Providence followed by a thrilling 1-0 win over Baker County. Linzy LaFavor doubled home Amaya Ross in the sixth for the games only run in the stunning win over visiting Baker County. In the district win over Providence, Ross went 3-4 including a home run to pace the Conquerors.
This week: Suwannee (March 4), Montverde Tournament (March 7-9)
5 Baker County (4-1)
Last week: Honorable Mention
Outlook: A 13-0 huge district win over Bolles started the week, while a nail biting 1-0 loss to Trinity closed the week. A loss doesn’t normally move you up in a poll but going toe-to-toe with Trinity earns my respect. It doesn’t get any easier though with playoff teams West Nassau, Clay, Hilliard and Suwannee looming this week.
