With conference and in some cases district tournaments starting this week, it means we are getting closer to the post season.
Boys and girls lacrosse district tournaments start today, the Gateway Conference flag football and softball tournaments start today, while both softball and baseball begin to wind down their regular seasons as well.
Here are the top five teams in softball, baseball, boys lacrosse, girls lacrosse and flag football.
Softball
1 Oakleaf (17-2)
Knights split a doubleheader Saturday dropping a 5-4 loss to No. 1 ranked Bradenton Lakewood Ranch, before rebounding with a 12-1 win over host Gainesville.
Next: Oakleaf hosts Bartow Wednesday in the resumption of the Kissimmee Klassic title game as well as a solid Trenton team on Thursday.
2 Mandarin (18-1)
With the exception of a late extra inning loss to Oakleaf, the Mustangs have been flawless this season.
Next: Mandarin is the top seed in the Gateway Conference tournament this week and heavily favored to bring home the title.
3 Baker County (16-4)
The Wildcats are rolling and look to make some serious noise in the playoffs with wins over Clay, West Nassau, Hilliard and Trinity.
Next: Baker County takes a trip to Orlando to play at Montverde today and at West Orange on Tuesday.
4 Bartram Trail (15-3)
Bartram Trail was rolling along winning 15 of their first 16 games, however a two game losing streak has brought them down a bit.
Next: The Bears will try to defend their St. Johns River Athletic Conference title this week in the conference tournament.
5 Columbia (13-5)
At 6-5, the Tigers were struggling and falling way behind, however a eight game winning streak has the Tigers right back in the mix of things.
Next: Columbia host Gainesville Tuesday in a winner take all game for the district, then West Nassau Friday.

Baseball
1 Bolles (15-2)
Six wins in a row including a pair of wins over Suwannee locked up the top seed and a playoff berth for the Bulldogs.
Next: Home games against Sandalwood on Tuesday, Providence on Thursday and Ponte Vedra on Friday.
2 Providence (11-5)
Four of the five losses have come to out of town teams as the Stallions went into a four game losing streak over Spring Break.
Next: Away games at Baldwin today, at Bishop Snyder Tuesday and at Bolles on Friday.
3 Trinity (11-5)
Like Providence, four of the five losses for the Conquerors are to out of town teams. The loss to Bishop Snyder has thrown the district into a loop now.
Next: Home games against Mandarin today and Duval Charter as well as an away game at North Florida Christian on Thursday.
4 Clay (13-4)
The Blue Devils are rolling having won six in a row and look to lock up the top seed in the district.
Next: Home to Ridgeview on Wednesday and at Ridgeview on Thursday.
5 Bartram Trail (15-3)
The areas longest winning streak at 10 games is over after a stunning 7-6 loss to Flagler Palm Coast.
Next: Key two game series with arch-rival Creekside, at Creekside on Wednesday and at home on Thursday.
