GREEN COVE SPRINGS – Clay hosted Terry Parker in the Flag Football girls Regional Finals on Thursday night and came away with a 33-0 win.
A strong and confident Blue Devils team took the field and started the night right away with a touchdown by Makenzie Salinas and an extra point by Skye Paradise for a 7-0 lead.
Terry Parker had the ball but couldn’t pick up any first downs in the first t quarter.
Clay quarterback Ciara Zino ran in a touchdown for Clay and then intercepted a pass and ran it in for anther touchdown for a 20-0 lead.
In the second quarter with 7 minutes left before half, Paola Jorge-Silva carried the ball for Clay for a big play but it was called back for a penalty.
Beginning of the third quarter, Salanas scored another touchdown for Clay increasing the lead to 27-0.
In the fourth quarter, Alexis Stillanou scored a touchdown making it 33-0 Clay.
Clay (14-0) host Godby tonight at 7 p.m. in the Region I-1A final, one win away from advancing to its second straight Final Four.
