An incredibly competitive game turned into an incredibly conceded meltdown by Englewood, as the Terry Parker Braves ran away from the Rams 11-1. The score was 1-1 for the better part of five 2-11-15 051innings as both teams played very impressive ball. Englewood attempted to assert their power early as #25 Travis Sayago threw the eat from the mound. His quick release and the ability to rebound on the mound fast, kept Parker’s batters off balance for most of the first few innings. Terry Parker got pretty good play from the mound as well, but their strongest effort in the game came from their in-field play. As Englewood started to connect with the ball, Parker found themselves with the bases loaded. Catcher Brandon Douglas, or Dougie as his teammates affectionately call him, caught a foul ball then rifled it to first base to throw out the runner, then received the throw to out the 3rd base runner who attempted to score off the tag. An incredible tripple play by the Braves. Not to be upstaged, on the very next series Englewood pulled off a sweet double play as TP could not score with runners on 1st and 3rd. 2-11-15 041

But Terry Parker  was just getting started, because in the 5th inning the Braves scored 10 straight runs. Zack Breitenfeld, Bobby Ralerson, Austin and Tyler Rourke all drove the balls through the gap of the defense. Englewood also began to miss plays that they made earlier in the contest. This ultimately was the difference in the game as Terry Parker won 11-1.
