JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — On November 15th, the Bolles Bulldogs (9-1) faced the South Walton Seahawks (6-5) in a Class 4A State Championship game. The Seahawks won the coin toss and was on the receiving end of the opening kick. But it was all Bulldogs from there.
Within the first 45 seconds play, the Bulldogs had a 20-yard touchdown run by senior Quarterback, Ben Netting (#12). The Seahawks would fumble on their next play and it led to a first down and touchdown by the Bulldogs. With only two minutes gone by in the first quarter, the Bulldogs found themselves up 14-0.
After another turn, the Seahawks came up empty again and it was Bolles ball. Netting threw a 63-yard touchdown pass to junior Wide Receiver, Davis Ellis (#4) to help put the Bulldogs up 21-0 with 7:30 to play in the first quarter.
Sophomore Running Back/Slotback, Kade Frew (#8) scored three touchdowns for the Bulldogs in the first ten minutes of the game. One of them coming late in the first quarter that helped put the Bulldogs up 35-0 going into the second.
The second quarter seemed to mirror the first quarter with Bolles scoring another touchdown. This time it was 11 seconds into the second quarter. The score was now 42-0. But the South Walton Seahawks began to find some life. Senior Running Back, Tyler Mitchum (#33) had a long run to get his team excited.
Senior Quarterback, Drake Roberts (#4) completed a 23-yard touchdown pass to sophomore Wide Receiver, Cade Roberts (#3) to make the score 42-6 with 9:13 to play in the half. This would be the one and only touchdown for the Seahawks.
The rest of the first half ended with the Bulldogs scoring two more touchdowns. One by senior Tight End/Middle Linebacker Simon Brackin (#10), the other by junior Running Back, Azeh Kani (#34). The score at the half was 55-6.
The Bulldogs would get one more touchdown in before the game was finished with a final score of 62-6. The Bolles Bulldogs will face #6 Bradford, at home, on November 22nd at 7:30 pm. Bradford downed West Nassau 45-14 on the road to advance to the Regional Finals.
